A White Christmas
We had two great days of celebration for Jesus' Birthday. Christmas Eve we went over to Kevin's parents house for our traditional Christmas Eve dinner. His mom over did herself cooking a delicious turkey, dressing, squash casserole, homemade mashed potatoes (prepared by Kevin's dad), fruit salad, rolls and then an assortment of desserts. After our delicious dinner it was time for presents which Carson was more then ready for. He had been patiently, well not so patiently waiting to open presents.
The boys were blessed with many special gifts from Mama and Papa but one favorite from each was a camera for Connor, a Batmobile for Carson, and Colton received a super cute Toy Story riding toy which he zoomed around on all night.
Christmas morning started off with Connor waking up at 6:30 to discover it was snowing outside. The other 2 boys were woken up at 7:15 when Connor could wait no longer. The boys I think were a bit overwhelmed by all the presents and were loving playing with each other's toys. When you have 3 boys it is a bit hard to buy for them indivudually because they always play with each others toys and typically like the same things.
After having "our" time we headed to my parents house aka the farm. It was such a beautiful drive that morning with the snow falling, a bit surreal. When we arrived at my parents we opened presents with my parents and sisters and my sisters fiance, Doug, and then outside for a snowball fight. After playing in the snow a while we headed in to dry and warm up and then waited on the rest of the family to come up for lunch and then more presents. The boys again received many great things,a few favorites were a Wii, John Deere Tractor, another Batmobile, broom set, Toy Story toys, and Pillow Pets.
Overall I think our Christmas was good just a little different. It had its good and sad moments, the most sad was my grandmother not being there after just loosing her one week ago. But many new memories were made and this was one we will always remember!

Another Colton Update
Well, the doctor finally used the two words I had been dreading....Crohn's Disease. Though I am glad we are finally making progress in finding out what has been wrong with our Colton for almost 2 years, I was hoping it was something less severe. The doctor is not 100% sure it is Crohn's but he is pretty sure. Crohn's is very hard to diagnose and especially in small children. He said that only 5% of cases are in children his age-and wouldn't you know we would be in that 5%. He has officially diagnosed him with Colitis and we go for an Upper GI two days after Christmas and he is hoping that will give him some definite answers on Crohn's. Right now he is keeping us on the four, yes 4, medicines that Colton takes multiple times a day because they are helping with his symptoms. He said basically we will stay on them until we see they are no longer working and then we will try something new. The med he is on for the inflammation is a one of kind because all the other types are in pill form, which a 2 year old cannot take. So we are just praying that this medicine continues to help and that he will start to gain weight-even though today the dr was not pleased with his lack of weight gain. We again ask for your prayers for our sweet Colty Bear and pray for his healing from the Ultimate Physician! I will give another update as soon as we know more.

Peace and Quiet
That is exactly what we needed and experienced while on a mini getaway, just the two of us this past weekend. We went to Panama City Beach, which was the perfect time of year to go. The weather could not have been more perfect, 78 and sunny! We spent the first full day Christmas shopping for the boys with lunch and dinner out. Our last full day was spent laying out, yes laying out in November! We spent the day on the beach just sitting, relaxing. Then we went out to dinner at one of my favorites, Olive Garden. The weekend was perfect and yes little one's were missed but I have to admit I could have stayed a few more days!!

Day with Daddy Part 2
Last night, Connor and Kevin were able to go to the Alabama game. This was Connor's first football game to ever go to so he was super excited. He has been watching football on tv this whole season and is obsessed with who wins. Kevin said they had a great time and Connor really enjoyed himself. This morning when I was talking to him about the game he said "you know what mom, they didn't have any commercials at the game last night." I thought that was so cute because if you know Connor, he is not the most patient child and so watching commercials drives him crazy. And of course, he let me know that Alabama beat the white team up! I am afraid now Connor is going to want to go to the games every week instead of watching it on tv, thankfully the season is almost over!

Day with Daddy Part 1
So a few weeks ago, Kevin took Carson to Talledega for his first race. They had such a good time and Kevin said he sat still and watched the cars go by the entire time! Here a few pictures taken by a friend of ours that also went with his little boy.
Connor's turn is tonight...Alabama football game!!

At this exact time, eight years ago, Kevin and I were getting married. In some ways it seems like only yesterday but in others it seems we have been together forever. Now 3 kids later here we are, waiting to see what God has for the next 60 or more years. Last night, we went to Cracker Barrel for dinner and we ran into a customer that comes into Chick fil A every day for breakfast AND lunch, and then to Cracker Barrel for dinner. He was telling us that he and his wife were married 61 years before she passed away. How I hope and pray we have that much time together and hopefully more. God has truly blessed us and our marriage and we cannot wait to see what the future holds!

Party Time
Yesterday, we celebrated Colton's birthday with our family at my parents house. We all had a great time and the boys were so tired when we got home. It was a jungle themed party so my sister, or Aunt Zee as the boys call her, painted all the boys faces to make them look like little animals. Connor chose a cat, Carson a tiger, Colton a lion, and cousin Eli was also a tiger. The boys mainly drove their John Deere tractors around my parents property but my dad also had a hay ride set up. Overall I think the party was a sucess and Colton brought home alot of cool toys!

Two Years Ago
Two years ago we welcomed another sweet little boy into our family. I cannot believe how time flies, it seems like only yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital.
Colton, you are such a blessing to us. You make us laugh at your cute little faces and oh how we love it when you poke out your bottom lip when you do not get your way. You are small but spunky and have so much energy. Your brothers adore you and we all still call you "baby", I am not even sure if Carson knows you have a real name. You love to sing Esus, Esus (Jesus, Jesus) while in the car, pay (play), sing (swing), and go ouside (outside). We are amazed each day by how much you say and how much you understand, you are one smart little boy. We love you so much and are so glad that God has blessed us with you. Happy Birthday our sweet little Colty Bear!

Colton Update
I finally heard from Colton's doctors office yesterday and they are starting him on a medicine to see if it will help with his tummy issues. This medication is typically used for Ulcerative Colitis, but the doctor is hoping this is something minor and the medicine will clear it up quickly. We go back to the doctor on Nov 30 and at that point we should know if the medicine is helping or we will discuss what to do if the medicine is not working. Thank you all for your prayers and concerns for our Colty Bear. I will keep you updated!

The Stress of the Perfect Christmas Card
So about this time every year I begin to stress about Christmas cards, particularly the photo that goes on it. Not only do you have to find the perfect card but also the perfect picture(s) to put on it. Well this year, with the help of Shutterfly, it is at least 1/2 as easy. Shutterfly has a new line of oh so cute cards that is going to make my choices a whole lot easier because there are some really great cards that are perfect for our family full of boys! Here is a list of a few of my favorites... With Love Blue, Gltter Glamour Joy, and the Rejoice Lord King. So what about you, what do you usually do for a Christmas card? If interested check out Shutterfly's website for some super cute designs, and then let me know which ones you like the best. Have fun and pray for me as I try to conquer the second part of my stress...the picture!

Our 3 Things
Last night we went trick or treating, which was a blast. They are at great ages where they were all able to walk and go up to the doors by themselves - in the past we have had at least one in a stroller. Little C was so cute because he was determined to carry his pumpkin full of candy the whole time and would get upset if you tried to carry it for him. At one point I had to dump his candy into Big C's pumpkin just so Little C could carry it again, and then he cried because he thought I was taking his candy away.
Of course right when we were walking out of the door I realized I did not have any batteries for my camera so I did not get to take any pictures. My neighbor did take one while they were trick or treating at her house so I will post that picture when she sends it to me. This picture is from a few weeks back when we went to a halloween party at our next door neigbors house.

Pumpkin Decorating
Tuesday night we decided to let the boys decorate some pumpkins. We thought that since carving a pumpkin is super messy, especially with 3 small boys involved, we would use animal face decorations. The boys each got to pick out their own eyes, mouth, and ears. As you can tell Big C made a perfect puppy dog, Middle C, well on the other hand chose a variety of animal parts. I helped Little C with his and thought the cute little pig was perfect for him. The boys really enjoyed doing this and Little C even pitched a fit when we had to put it outside.

A glimpse into our lives...
So, I am finally starting a blog. Mainly for me to be able to remember all the great times we have as a family but also to share with far away family and friends. Here is a quick introduction of the boys.
Big C just turned 6. He is full of life, and loves to be in charge. He has a great since of humor and a tender heart. He is in kindergarten and loves every minute of it. He also enjoys playing the X Box and to be honest is quite good at it, sometimes better then KD.
Middle C will turn 4 in January. He is our "wild card", never meets a stranger, and you never know what will come out of his mouth. He also is very loving, and has become quite the big helper. He started going to speech at the beginning of September and feels like such a big boy going to big school. He loves to play outside and go "super fast" on his bike.
Little C will turn 2 in just a few weeks. He is small but extremely tough. He is a daredevil that will do anything just to keep up with his brothers. He plays hard all day and then crashes at night. We are right in the middle of trying to figure out why he is so small, so hopefully I can post about that soon.
Thanks for visiting!
